Sir Elton John finally confirmed yesterday [Jan. 16] he has become a dad again — with partner David Furnish named as the baby boy’s MOTHER on the birth certificate.

Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John was born to a surrogate believed to be the same biological mum of first child, Zachary, two.

The birth certificate has Elton named as the father of Elijah, born on Friday at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, weighing 8lb 4oz. It is the same arrangement as when Zachary was born.

Californian law permits the intended parents to be registered instead of the surrogate.

Elton and David said:

“The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. We are overwhelmed with happiness and excitement”.
