BOKO HARAM: Child Soldiers, Female Suicide Bombers Involved in Mongonu, Maiduguri Attacks ~ Military Sources

The Nigerian military sources have disclosed that child-soldiers and teenage suicide bombers were used by Boko Haram terrorists in the multiple attacks on Maiduguri, Konduga and Monguno in Borno State early in the week.
A senior military officer, according to PRNigeria, also noted that the attack was a desperate and diversionary attempt to both pre-empt a massive onslaught and create an avenue of escape for insurgent commanders.

Former militant and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, a.k.a. Tompolo, on Thursday [Jan. 29] replied former defence minister, Gen. T.Y Danjuma, for calling for his arrest over inflammatory statements at a time Nigeria needs peace.

He asked where Danjuma was when Mallam Ciroma Adamu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen Muhammadu Buhari, and the Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, made inciting statements about making Nigeria ungovernable.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) will not be not be featuring in the on-going electioneering public debates on national television and radio, being organized by the Broadcast Organization of Nigeria (BON), because of the unhidden bias and campaign of calumny by some key organizers of the program, against the corporate political interest of the party (APC) and its candidates.

Garba Shehu, Director Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Organization (APCPCO) said in a press statement on Thursday in Abuja that the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG) powered debate was fraught with fundamental errors from the outset, by wearing the toga of government control, especially being composed mainly of agencies and allies of the incumbent People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) administration.

2015 ELECTIONS: Court Lifts NCC’s Suspension Of APC’s Fund-Raising Platform

The Federal High Court in Lagos has restrained five telecoms firms from carrying out the suspension of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign fund-raising platform. Justice Ibrahim Buba gave the ex-parte order yesterday following a motion brought by the party.

The judge  restrained Etisalat, MTN, Glo, Airtel and Visafone from giving effect to a directive by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), which warned them against running political promotions. Justice Buba ordered the telecoms firms “to continue to run, operate and/or restore to its full operative use, the SMS Code platform 35350 created for fund-raising for the applicant’s presidential campaign.”
