A man has been charged after allegedly throwing his eyeball at a doctor. Edward Michael Dorsey, 54, was first detained by police on Sunday morning on suspicion of domestic battery, local station WTSP reported.
Officers took him to a medical centre in Largo, Florida, to have him evaluated before taking him to Pinellas County Jail.
However, while he was in the ER he reportedly removed his glass eye and hurled it at a doctor and a nurse.
Medics had asked him not to remove his eye, according to the police, but Dorsey simply responded: ‘I can do whatever I feel like doing.’
As a result, he was charged with battery on an emergency medical care provider. Bail has been set at $25,000 for domestic battery and $5,000 for throwing his eye.
