JOSE MOURINHO is lining up an audacious £135million bid for Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez. The Manchester United boss, 53, has been let down by a lack of consistency in his forward ranks, with stars Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford failing to find the net on a regular basis.
With the Old Trafford side’s Premier League title hopes already looking much less strong after a recent slump, the Special One is planning to break the bank as early as January.
According to reports in Spain, Mourinho hopes La Liga giants Barca will be tempted to cash on on a nine-figure deal having not yet signed a new mega-money deal. At 29-years-old, former Liverpool forward Suarez is the oldest of the fearsome ‘MSN’ trio – Lionel Messi, Suarez and Neymar.

While the Nou Camp's South American stars Neymar and Messi have recently put pen to paper on massive new contracts, Suarez is yet to do so. The Uruguayan ace has scored a whopping 10 goals in just 13 appearances for Barcelona so far this season, including a hat-trick on the opening day of the La Liga season against Real Betis.
However, Mourinho will face competition from fierce rival Pep Guardiola, as Manchester City are also monitoring Suarez's situation.
