Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity has appealed to the Nigerian masses not to lose hope in the Buhari led government. Adesina in an article published on his Facebook wall early hours of Friday [Sept. 9], said he takes one-third of his legitimate salary as President Buhari's aide.

"I am on a national assignment that has cut my legitimate annual income by one-third, so when there is hunger in the land, I go hungry too," he said "When people talk of lack of money, I penny-pinch, too. Well, almost. Let nobody think those in government are insulated from what is happening in the country. At least, those who have truly come to serve.

"But those precious promises hold true any day. In the days of famine, my people shall be satisfied," the presidential aide added.

Adesina attributed the economic crisis to mismanagement on the part of previous administrations adding that Nigerians would have a cause to rejoice soon. He noted that President Buhari had not forgotten the promises he made during the campaign period.
