A teenager was stabbed more than 100 times by her boyfriend in front of her two-year-old son because she wouldn’t fetch him a glass of water. Jamiv Usman stabbed the 19-year-old with such force in the neck, he snapped the blade of the knife, a court heard.
The woman played dead and then staggered onto a nearby bus in Brighton where the bus driver called police. Police officers helped treat the life threatening wounds on board the bus until paramedics arrived and rushed her to hospital, March last year.
Her son was later found in a distressed state by a neighbour

Usman, 32, dumped the knife in a hedge and was arrested by police and charged with attempted murder. The victim suffered two punctured lungs and needed 500 stitches.
Unemployed Usman, of Brighton, denied the charge but was found guilty following a trial at Lewes Crown Court.
He was jailed for 20 years on Friday.
Detective Inspector Andy Wolstenholme of Sussex Police said: ‘This was an horrific unprovoked attack on the victim who had to fight for her life in front of her child who was just two. It is a miracle she survived.
