Nick Gordon has been found "civilly liable" for girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown's death.
On January 31, 2015, 22-year-old Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home. She spent six months in a coma before the Brown family made the very difficult decision to take their daughter off life support. They did not, however, consider Bobbi responsible for her own passing and now, the wrongful death suit they filed against Gordon last year has received a ruling.
Due in part to Gordon's failure to appear in court, Fulton County Superior Court Judge T. Jackson Bedford ruled on Friday he was legally responsible for his girlfriend's passing. According to People, Judge Bedford said "anything alleged by the plaintiff is admitted through omission." In the coming weeks, he will decide how much cash the Brown estate is entitled. The amount requested was $50 million.
The family claimed Gordon had injected Bobbi with a "toxic mixture" of drugs after engaging in a physical fight with her, placing her facedown in the bath tub after the fact in an effort to stage an overdose.
It is notable these accusations have not been corroborated by police.

"In court last Friday [Sept. 16], we finally finished a long journey for justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown," the estate's attorney R. David Ware said on Friday. "The court agrees with us, by striking Mr. Gordon's answer that he is legally responsible for her death. The only thing left to prove is the value of her life. We intend to do that."
While the civil case now seems to be coming to a close, criminal charges against Gordon are reportedly "still ongoing." Gordon maintains his innocence.
