Arsene Wenger believes Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be a good addition to Manchester United’s squad and said the ‘dangerous’ midfielder will be a threat to Premier League defences.

The Armenian was much sought-after this summer after scoring 23 goals in 51 apperances for Borussia Dortmund last term.

Jose Mourinho snapped up the 27-year-old on a £26million deal from the Bundesliga giants but the attacker is yet to start a competitive match for the Red Devils.

However, Wenger insists Mkhitaryan’s improved in the last 12 months and the Premier League will soon know all about the Armenian.

‘[Mkhitaryan] has always been a very good midfielder but last year was the first year where he scored goals,’ Wenger told ‘I think he scored 10 goals in the Bundesliga so that of course makes him more dangerous.

‘He will bring something to Man United.’
