This is the moment that an eagle tried to carry away a young boy during a wildlife show in Australia. The wedge-tailed eagle sank its talons into the boy’s head as it tried to pick him up ‘like a small animal’.
The boy screamed as it went for him but was fortunate to suffer from little more than a scratch. Christine O’Connell, who witnessed the incident, said: ‘A fellow who was sitting closer said the little boy kept running his zipper up and down’.
Staff at Alice Springs Desert Park in central Australia moved in to take control and the boy was left crying, according to the BBC.

Keenan Lucas told NT News: ‘We’re at the bird show in the afternoon, having a great time and looking forward to seeing the wedge-tailed eagle come out for the finale. ‘The bird then flew over the crowd and tried to grab on to a young boy’s head. He screamed, the mother was distraught and the presenters wrapped up the show very quickly.’
