An EgyptAir flight was carrying 71 passengers when it was struck as it landed at London Heathrow. The impact left a huge hole in the nose of the Boeing 737 as it completed its journey from Cairo on Friday.

Fortunately, no one was hurt and the plane managed to land safely.

Senior procurement specialist at Egyptair, Amir Hashim, took photos of the jet before posting them to Facebook. It took some 21 hours for a replacement nose to be found with the plane making a return flight to Egypt on Saturday.
