Arsene Wenger has no plans to leave Arsenal in the immediate future. The Frenchman has come under severe pressure this season after a series of poor results. It appears as if Arsenal will end the season without a trophy and many fans want Wenger to step down.

But the Gunners boss is determined to stay. When asked if he thought he would be in charge at the start of next season, he told BeInSports: ‘I have no doubt, no. ‘If I do something I do it 100% and I’m always committed to do my best as long as I’m at the club.

‘I don’t worry too much about what other people say. Always it is judgement, opinions and that is often due to the last result or performance. ‘You focus on what is important – to perform.

‘I believe in life it is very important what you are appointed for and I am appointed to do the best for my club. ‘My future is my future. I don’t master more of that then you.’

Wenger also admitted that criticism from the fans isn’t helping the club.

‘Look, you give your best,’ he added. ‘The criticism you receive this season isn’t very helpful when you are trying to fight for the championship. ‘Especially after the game against Tottenham where we were a bit unlucky.

‘You have to deal with that. What you do is give your best every day for the club I love and if I can share that love with the supporters it’s even better. ‘But at the end of the day I want to make sure I give my best and put my knowledge at the disposal of the team.’
