Manchester United Saturday [Feb 13] lost 2-1 to Sunderland. David de Gea's late own goal handed Sunderland the all important 3 points boost in its battle against relegation.
Wahbi Khazri gave Sunderland the lead after three minutes when his wide free kick from 30 metres eluded everyone on its way into the far corner of the net.
While Manchester United's Anthony Martial grabbed the equaliser just before halftime,
De Gea made several fine saves to deny Dame N'Doye and Lamine Kone but the Spanish keeper failed to deal with Kone's powerful header, deflecting the ball over the line.
Man United are now six points behind 4th placed Manchester City.
