According to The Guardian, the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), on Thursday [Jan 21], arraigned the national publicity secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, for destroying the confessional statement he made to the Commission.
Metuh was has two-count charge of destruction of confessional statement and mischief, to which he pleaded not guilty. Metuh allegedly tore his written statement and attempted to chew it while he was being investigated for the money laundering case.
Metuh was taken to court by EFCC operatives in handcuffs. But the handcuffs were removed before he appeared before Justice Ishaq Bello.
