Family Of Pregnant British Found Dead In Bath In A Hotel In Ghana Hope New Probe Will Find Answers

Arrested: Charmaine's husband Eric Adusah was suspected of murder but there was not enough evidence
The family of a pregnant British woman found dead in a hotel bath in Ghana hope a new probe by UK police will finally give them answers about the tragedy. The body of Charmain Adusah was discovered in the city of Koforidua in March.

Her husband Eric, 28, a London pastor, was charged with her murder, the Daily Record reported. But the case against him collapsed last month after a report said there was no evidence connecting him to his wife's death. Charmain's body has now been returned to Britain and is in the care of Essex Police, who are looking into the circumstances of her death.

The 41-year-old who was three months pregnant was said to have died from heroin poisoning
An interim post-mortem carried out in Ghana on the 41-year-old, who was three months pregnant, said she died from heroin poisoning. But Charmain's family in Scotland say she never touched drugs and would not have considered suicide. A new post-mortem was carried out last month.

Charmain's mother Linda Speirs, of Arbroath, said: "I'm very glad her body is back in Britain. The results of this new autopsy won't be known for a while and I still have no idea when I'll be able to bury her. "I have my doubts about everything which was done in Ghana. I couldn't even get a copy of the autopsy there, despite requesting it.

"I want to finally find out what really happened."
