Sunday Oliseh Insulted My Dead Mother, Vincent Enyeama Claims

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has spoken out over Tuesday’s disgraceful drama that pitched him against Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh, saying he will take anything but not insult to his dead mother.

According to him, he was “stripped naked” and thrown out by security.

Enyeama had a major fall-out with Oliseh after the coach announced Ahmed Musa as his new captain at a team meeting ahead of the Lille goalkeeper, who has been wearing the arm’s band since the retirement of Joseph Yobo from international football.

The 101-capped Enyeama was philosophical when he took to his Instagram page ‘vinny 2908’ to lament his ordeal on Tuesday night in Belgium.

He said:
After 13 years of national service, having this smile on my face and this passion in my heart. Through the billows, the waves of the ocean, the tears of defeat, the sound of rejoicing from victory chants. Now the thought of being stripped naked and security agents throwing me out breaks me completely. I will take anything but not insult to my dead mother.

At the weekend, Enyeama buried his mother after he was granted compassionate leave by his French club. In September he stayed away from two Eagles matches against Tanzania and Niger following the passing of his mother.
