NGN600M BANANA ISLAND MANSION: ‘You Have Made Me Proud As A Woman’ - Nollywood Actress To Linda Ikeji

News about Linda Ikeji’s multi-million naira mansion in Banana Island hit social media last week. The news broke and still breaking ‘Nigeria internet space’, blogosphere pegged the latest acquisition at NGN450 million, but Linda quickly corrected that with a tweet as captured below:
Lol. My house is not N450m...where did y'all get that from? It's over N500m. And thanks for all the kind words. Love to u all. #utoocandoit

Friends have started reaching out to Linda with series of congratulatory messages…And how proud they were of Linda’s ‘biggest’ acquisition and for doing the women folk proud.

Nollywood actress, Grace Ama, is one of those friends who have been sending in such congratulatory messages to the celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji. Grace Ama’s message below:

CONGRATULATING A LEADING EXAMPLE OF WOMANHOOD

Dear Linda Ikeji,

EPIC THROWBACK: Linda and Denrele Edun
I should have called or sent you an sms to congratulate you for your singular achievement and purchase of a residential mansion at Banana Island. But since I don't have your contact, I have to place this note of appreciation to God on your behalf here. You have made me proud as a woman. You have made every Igbo woman proud and you are an example to womanhood. The saying that what a man can do, a woman can do even better has been aptly captured in the simple post in your blog site.

It was late Myles Munroe, A great motivational writer and speaker who said that "Vision is the source and hope of life. The greatest gift ever given to mankind is not the gift of sight, but the gift of vision. Sight is a function of the eyes; vision is a function of the heart. Eyes that look are common, but eyes that see are rare. Nothing noble or noteworthy on earth was ever done without a vision. No invention, development or great feat was ever accomplished without the inspiring power of the mysterious source called vision". Indeed nothing can be truer than this great assertion by Munroe. Your vision for service through the media and your consistent resolve to keep it going despite all odds have today brought you rewards and celebration.

This goes to affirm the long age saying by Thomas Jefferson that "Nothing can stop the man or woman with right the mental attitude from achieving his or her goal just as nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude". I recall the battle you went through in recent past over someone who tried so hard to misrepresent your person and down your dogged spirit. You stood up to the challenge like a woman of courage. My dear sister, I join millions of your fans and friends to celebrate you this day. This is just the beginning of the celebrations.

May you ever remain an inspiration to your generation and the womenfolk. Congratulations!

According to TechCabal, Linda started blogging in 2006, but things only started began to pick up in ’07. She mostly drudged it up till 2010/2011 when we start seeing the beginnings of an upward slope. Then kablam! In late 2011, Linda’s graph takes off at a near 90 degree angle (as captured in the graph above).
