|Special night: Jose Mourinho and daughter Matilde certainly impressed the crowds at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards on Tuesday evening|
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was left looking less than impressed at GQ Men of the Year Awards after being upstaged by his 18-year-old daughter Mathilde. The teenager, who is a close friend of One Direction star Niall Horan, arrived wearing a £2,145 velvet tuxedo dress by Balmain - a French label adored by the Kardashians among others. Mr Mourinho, who returned to Chelsea for a second time in June 2013, was there to accept the Editor's Special Award recognising his many footballing achievements.
But despite her father's success, it was Mathilde who drew all eyes - thanks in no small part to her eye-catching dress. The teenager is the eldest child of 52-year-old Mourinho and his wife Mathilde - Tami for short - and has a younger brother named José Mário Jr , 14. Mathilde, who has already lived in Portugal, Italy and Spain as well as the UK, spent much of her childhood in London's Belgravia during her father's first stint at Chelsea.
Since returning to the UK, Mathilde, who is known as Tita to her family, has become an increasingly familiar face on the capital's social circuits and sparked dating rumours when she was spotted watching the football in the stands at Stamford Bridge with Horan earlier this year. Days later, she and the boyband singer were spotted leaving a nightclub together - and doing their very best to avoid the attentions of waiting photographers.

For all the attention, her father, who has made no secret of his staunch Catholic faith, has said he is happy to have his family back in Britain because of the extra privacy available. He also revealed that his wife and daughter rule the roost in his home, telling the Big Issue Magazine that the two 'are the bosses and control everything in our house'.
'A good night for me is to have a nice dinner with my wife and son and daughter,' he added, in the same interview. 'Obviously, now [the children] are getting older and they are starting to have their lives and they have their friends also, so at this moment with school, football, university – we cannot be like before with lunch and dinner together every day. 'So now is different, so a good night for me is to enjoy them and have a good meal and after that spend time with my family.'
Like his daughter, the famously stylish Mourinho had made an effort for the evening and cut a handsome figure in a tailored two-piece suit, teamed with a bow-tie and crisp white shirt. The father and daughter duo were joined at the glitzy event by a host of household sporting names including British Formula One superstar Lewis Hamilton, Ashes hero Stuart Broad and former England legend-turned Match of the Day presenter, Gary Lineker.
