The victim’s eyes’ lenses were damaged and she can no longer see with both eyes.The incident happened at 6, Oloro street, off Akani street, Abaranje, Ikotun, where they reside.
The matter was reported to the police and Paul was arrested and charged to court for the alleged offence. He was charged with causing permanent defect to Faith’s eyes and assault under the Criminal Code.
He pleaded not guilty and the prosecutor, Mr Femi Adeleye, objected to his bail on the ground that Faith will be undergoing operation which could result in more complications. He prayed the court to remand Uduozor in prison custody pending the outcome of the operation.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr A. A. Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum. Uduozor was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri pending when he will perfect his bail.
The matter was adjourned till 31 August, 2015.
