And his long-distance girlfriend, Zoe Farooqui, 33, couldn't have been more thrilled with his unique choice.
James forked out more than £1,000 on a professional choir, spent months arranging the stunt and had to gain official permission from bosses at Gatwick Airport. The pair, who were heading to Egypt, were waiting to check in when the 'passenger' next to them in the queue broke into their favourite song, Lovely Day. 'One summer's day in 2015, James decided his girlfriend Zoe deserved 'a lovely day',' the opening slide on the video reads.
