BREAKING NEWS: Nigerian Troops Invade Sambisa Forest, Boko Haram’s Last Known Stronghold; Rescue 200 Girls, 93 Women

Nigerian Army has said it has rescued 200 girls and 93 women during a military operation in the Sambisa Forest Tuesday [April 28] afternoon after destroying three Boko Haram camps.

On its twitter feed, the Nigerian Armed Forces said it was unable to confirm if the schoolgirls kidnapped last year in Chibok are among those rescued.

Boko Haram kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls near the northern village of Chibok in April 2014, sparking international outcry.
