2015 POLLS: Britain and United States Issued A Joint Statement Express 'Concern About Rigging Election Results In Nigeria'

Britain and the United States have expressed concern about rigging in the counting of votes after Nigeria's elections.

In a joint statement, they said they had seen disturbing indications that there has been political interference with the collation process.

The BBC Africa correspondent says the mood in the capital Abuja is jittery. Most observer missions had praised Saturday's vote. The election commission says there will be a strong indication of who has won the presidential election by the end of today and that the final result should be announced on Tuesday.
