PHOTOS: Sasha & Malia Obama's School Evacuated Over Unspecified Threat

Sidwell Friends, the Washington D.C. private school attended by both Obama daughters, Sasha and Malia was evacuated due to an unspecified threat, the Secret Service confirms.

As reported by Politico:

According to the Washingtonian, this message was distributed to the school's emergency alert system:

"This is an emergency message from Sidwell Friends School. Due to a suspicious phone call, the buildings on the Wisconsin Avenue campus have been evacuated. We will notify you when further information is available”.

"We are aware of the threat and are monitoring the situation, which is being handled by MPD", Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan told POLITICO.

The Washington D.C. police say that the Sidwell evacuation was due to a suspicious package and not directed towards the Obamas.
