Fernando Torres’s birthday on
Tuesday, March 20 sees the Chelsea footballer turn 28. Torres got what he can consider as his ideal gifts on Sunday, after
he scored two goals against Leicester City in the English FA Cup to help the
Blues enter the semifinals.
Torres also made
two assists in the match, but he had before then undergone a miserable spell
that made him goalless in over 25 hours of play.
Certainly, the Spanish forward has
reasons to smile now—even if only for a moment. The Daily Mail quoted him
saying after his attainment at the weekend:
“I needed those goals…I'd been
working so hard. I found the net so it's a good day for me, I feel happy”.
Clearly, there is still much that Torres should be concerned about, but for
now, he might decide to put his stress aside and enjoy his transition in his
new age.
Torres
was
born in 1984, in Fuenlabrada, Spain.
