A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been found stabbed to death in a park.
Leroy James was discovered at Ponders End recreation ground in Enfield, North London, at 5.30pm yesterday, Scotland Yard said.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out today at Haringey mortuary.
Police have launched a murder inquiry and are appealing for witnesses.
Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Goode, leading the investigation, said: "We urgently need to trace anyone who was in the park around that time on Wednesday afternoon, and who may have seen the incident in which Leroy was stabbed.
"At this early stage we retain an open mind on the circumstances of the assault, and do need the public's assistance."
Leroy, from Edmonton, North London, is the eighth teenager to have been stabbed to death in the capital this year.
